A bed base is important for mattress stability and ventilation

A beautiful children's bed is great, but a good slatted bed base is also very important. Children's beds require a solid bed base that is not only sturdy but also ventilates excellently. The Bopita wooden slatted base is the ideal choice: durable, stable, subtly springy and with minimal sagging.

A bed base ventilates to prevent mold on the mattress

To ensure optimal comfort, a bed base should allow the mattress to ventilate properly and leave at least half of the mattress of a kids' bed, single bed or loft bed free. This allows body moisture to dissipate efficiently, preventing mold. For optimal ventilation, we recommend not using a mattress protector between the bottom and the mattress.

A slatted bed base consists of beechwood slats connected by strong textile straps. Each slat must be screwed to the bed frame with the hardware provided. With an adjustable or fixed bed base, the slats are already fixed to the edge and additional screwing is not necessary.
